The preceding poster, “Invitation to Octopus City” is one of the many documents recently found in the ruins of an ice age city in northern Samarduk. While researchers have discovered the ruins of many ancient octopus cities from the same era, the Samarduk octopus city is unique for having withstood the toxic ice age for many decades. This particular society was far more advanced than any of the others, having employed biological steam machines to sustain the central organism.

Documents found in the ruins tell us the story of various people who lived during a troubling time, where the once defiant city tore itself apart. We at Ghost in a Bottle(tm) are documenting these events that lead to the collapse in the form of an interactive simulation titled Octopus City Blues(tm).
This simulation is a work in progress. In this blog, you will find articles and interviews from the local newspapers, propaganda posters, police reports, and pages from personal diaries. You will also find updates from the technical team working on developing the simulation, which is illustrated by the wonderful Francis Coulombe. We would like to thank “TwinFoxTails” for providing the concept art you see on these pages and Qassim Hassan for designing the blog. The simulation will be available to the public some time next year.
